Instruction & Guiding
Our programs are unique because of how we teach, not what we teach. ARC guides specialize in turning the mountains into the ultimate classroom for teaching climbing.
We know that the best way to learn how to rock climb is to GO CLIMBING! That's why our curriculum is designed to fully immerse you in the mountains with built-in instruction throughout the day.
Our group events include 2:1 student to instructor ratios, camping, breakfast, dinner, and evening festivities! Events accommodate all experience levels, as opposed to our courses which are more specialized and focus instead on a particular skillset.
Private guiding is a great option for those looking to gain more mileage in the mountains, or those who are more interested in one on one work with a guide. Private guiding allows us to customize the day to fit your personal goals.
We are here to mentor, both recreational climbers and aspiring guides. Learn more about our long term mentorship programs for those looking to continue their learning throughout the country for years to come.
As the seasons change so do we! Our clinics and courses take place in various locations throughout the year based off of the best weather windows in each location. Come visit us in iconic locations throughout the country!
Our group events are a fantastic way to build your skills as a climber while connecting with other women who you can rope up with in the future! We are proud to say that the system works. Over the years, many of our students have gone on to form lasting climbing partnerships.
There are few things more empowering than partnering up with another woman to learn, grow, and explore in the mountains with. Our students sign up for these events on their own and leave with new partners to continue climbing with for years to come. We believe in women supporting other women -- these events are just one way we aim to foster more of that.

Can't make it to one of our group clinics? Not to worry! We offer private guiding to those whose schedules don't align with ours or to those looking to gain more milage in the mountains.
We can connect you with one of our professional guides to help you get out on the rock. Spend the day focusing on skills you wish to gain, or go out and explore the beautiful outdoor playgrounds we know and love!

Our home base is in Joshua Tree, CA from October through April, but it gets hot in the desert so we flee to the mountains!
In addition to Joshua Tree National Park, we guide in Seneca Rocks, WV, and The Black Canyon in Gunnison, CO! All of these areas are well known and loved by our guides. We've chosen these locations because these are the places we love to play. We hope you'll love exploring them as much as we do!
Climbing areas include:
Joshua Tree National Park
The Black canyon
Climbing has a history of mentorship within the community. Traditionally, the way people learned how to climb was by connecting with someone who had more experience than them and could show them the ropes. These days, many climbers are introduced to the sport in other ways which is creating a mentorship gap in climbing. This mentorship gap leaves space for a higher degree of unsafe, and unethical practices in climbing.
We want to address this mentorship gap. To do that, we've structured our rates to allow for a more affordable way to continue your personal education with our guides over the long run. We are also dedicated to getting more women working in the guiding industry which is why we invite aspiring guides to shadow our clinics and learn from more experienced female guides.
