Instruction & Guiding
Our programs are unique because of how we teach, not what we teach. ARC guides specialize in turning the mountains into the ultimate classroom for teaching climbing.
We know that the best way to learn how to rock climb is to GO CLIMBING! That's why our curriculum is designed to fully immerse you in the mountains with built-in instruction throughout the day.
Women's events
Our group events are a fantastic way to build your skills as a climber while connecting with other women who you can rope up with in the future! We are proud to say that the system works. Over the years, many of our students have gone on to form lasting climbing partnerships.
There are few things more empowering than partnering up with another woman to learn, grow, and explore in the mountains with. Our students sign up for these events on their own and leave with new partners to continue climbing with for years to come. We believe in women supporting other women -- these events are just one way we aim to foster more of that.

locations
Our home base is in Joshua Tree, CA from October through April, but it gets hot in the desert so we flee to the mountains!
In addition to Joshua Tree National Park, we guide in Seneca Rocks, WV, The Black Canyon in Gunnison, CO, and Index, WA! All of these areas are well known and loved by our guides. We've chosen these locations because these are the places we love to play. We hope you'll love exploring them as much as we do!
Climbing areas include:

mentorship programs
Climbing has a history of mentorship within the community. Traditionally, the way people learned how to climb was by connecting with someone who had more experience than them and could show them the ropes. These days, many climbers are introduced to the sport in other ways which is creating a mentorship gap in climbing. This mentorship gap leaves space for a higher degree of unsafe, and unethical practices in climbing.

We want to address this mentorship gap. To do that, we've structured our rates to allow for a more affordable way to continue your personal education with our guides over the long run. We are also dedicated to getting more women working in the guiding industry which is why we invite aspiring guides to shadow our clinics and learn from more experienced female guides.
Programs include:
-
Outlined trajectory for reaching specific goals or objectives
-
Opportunities for aspiring guides to gain more experience in the field
